Buse Timber is a Northwest Washington sawmill specializing in timber cutting and other high end products. Our sawmill cuts primarily Douglas-Fir with an occasional Hem-Fir run, depending on market conditions.

The sawmill has two carriage headrigs with the capability of running up to 50” diameter logs and an additional breakdown machine that can run logs over 50” in diameter. We specialize in bridge timbers, crossarms, and FOHC timbers up to 24” x 24" in size. We can surface lumber (S4S) up to 8” x 14”.

Wholesale Only Stock cutting consists of:

1" x 4" through 1" x 8" green rough boards in Doug-Fir and Hem-Fir.
2" x 4" through 2" x 12" green rough Doug-Fir and Hem-Fir dimensional lumber.
3" x 6" through 3" x 12" green rough and S4S timbers in both Doug-Fir and Hem-fir.
4" x 4" through 4" x 16" green rough and S4S timbers in both Doug-Fir and Hem-fir.
6" x 6" through 6" x 16" green rough and S4S timbers in both Doug-Fir and Hem-fir.
8" x 8" through 8" x 16" green rough and S4S timbers in both Doug-Fir and Hem-fir.
FOHC timbers from 3" x 6" through 12" x 14" in Doug-Fir.
Crossarm and Transmission Crossarms 4" x 5" through 6" x 8" under 24' in length.
Industrial Clears 1" x 4" to 8" x 14".
